Resistant Starch Throw-Down (January 2014)
Many of you might have heard of the latest Paleo Craze: Resistant Starch. Many on the ‘net are claiming it as the Second Coming, and it’s created quite the buzz in several circles with many claiming that it helps you lose weight, improve your gut flora and more.
So, Dr. Kruse saw that there were few human studies and lots of rodent studies, so he dedicated six months to putting these claims to the test.
In phase one of his experiment, he had labs drawn before the experiment, followed the protocol that aligns with Paleo craze for three months, had labs drawn WEEKLY during the experiment, then again at the end. He blinded himself to results until the 3-month mark. Here, he reviewed the labs, made changes using a *different* type of resistant starch, drew labs through the second experiment (again, blinded), and reviewed all at the end.
What’s Missing in Biology (December 2013)
While Paleo is by far the most superior lifestyle paradigm on the planet, much of what Paleo believes comes from the literature, and this should give us all serious pause: we are basing our health and our journey to optimal on the dogma that exists in science and the Paleo community at large.
In this webinar, Dr. Kruse explores this idea that biology doesn’t have an anchoring model to give context to its theories, that biology today is where physics was in 1890. He opines on what a unified theory in quantum biology should include and gives a template for what we should look for as we’re studying health and creating better health for ourselves and our families, and he gives us all a sneak peek into where he’s headed on the blog and why.
The Quantum Cell (November 2013)
When you put the wrong word in a crossword puzzle, it affects your ability to discern all the other words. Biology, as a science, was developed before quantum physics. Biologists “guessed” on some key words, but quantum physics gives us the real answers that reveal academic biology has some things WRONG.
Academic biology has not accounted for the important work of Erwan Shroedinger, a physical chemist who received three nobel prizes. His hypothesis formed the basis for MRIs. He was so far ahead of his time that biologists didn’t think there was any way he could be right. But he was, and we’re going to unpack it together.
Quantum Sleep (October 2013)
Everyone knows that sleep’s important. But why does sleep happen? How does it happen? How does it work to regenerate us? In this webinar, we’re going to explore the answers to all three questions and so much more.
This webinar will give you the complete Quantum Sleep story in humans; we are leaving no stone unturned. Many of the concepts we’ll explore in this webinar have been touched on in the blogs over the last several months … this webinar is going to weave them all together. We’re going to see how sleep is heavily affected by chemicals and transition metals, as explored in the September 2013 webinar (which you may want to listen to before you dive into this one!).
Autism, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s: Deconstructing the Cause of Neurodegenerative Disease (September 2013)
In 2000, one in 150 kids was born with autism.
In 2008, the number shrank to 1 in 88.
Today, we’re down to 1 in 44 kids.
These numbers are absolutely staggering.
Neurodegenerative brain disease is on the rise at an alarming pace. Alzheimers, Parkinson’s, Lou Gerigs Disease and others have always been thought of as diseases of aging. But neurodegenaration doesn’t start with the elderly, as we’re learning. Neurodegeneration is responsible for diseases like hashimotos, thyroid disorders and hormone issues.
Breast Cancer Screening: What Angelina Jolie’s Doctors Didn’t Tell Her About Screening & Prevention (August 2013)
In the fall of 2012, Dr. Kruse did a special webinar on breast cancer prevention for the many women in our community who were concerned about the disease. In that webinar, he mentioned his preference for thermograms over mammograms. If you have a history of breast cancer in your family, you or someone you love has breasts, or you’ve got some “indicators” that have you concerned about monitoring your risk of breast cancer, this webinar is for you!
To date, mammograms have been the #1 recommended “preventative measure” in the breast cancer movement. Recently, the Institutes of Medicine changed their screening recommendations so that women did not start getting mammograms at 40 – instead, they recommended 50, and they changed their frequency from annual mammograms to bi-annual mammograms.
EMF Deep Dive: The Experiments that Led to Discovery (July 2013)
In early 2013, Dr. Kruse spent a substantial amount of time on the blog talking about EMF and the dangers electromagnetic fields pose to human biology. There is so much information in that series, and soon after, Dr. Kruse launched the Quantum Biology series to help us all understand at a deeper level the quantum response of our cells. He’s been connecting dots all along the way, and this webinar is perhaps the biggest “dot-connector” of them all!In this webinar, Dr. Kruse is going to discuss the details of some of the experiments that were the basis of the EMF series, including a lot of information that was too complicated to try to write about, especially early on. In fact, much of this info is only digestible now that he’s launched the Quantum Biology series.
Auto-Immune Disease, Depression, Bi-Polar Disorder, Medical Marijuana and Hallucinogenic Drugs (June 2013)
At the beginning of 2013, Dr. Kruse spent a weekend with Erwan LaCorre of MoveNat in Santa Fe, NM. During their time together, LaCorre asked him why the use of hallucinogenic drugs didn’t seem to have a place in modern medicine, as these drugs were used in ever indigenous population around the globe for millennia. Interestingly, the populations that used these drugs don’t have trouble with drug addiction that we seem to have in the West.
The Sex Prescription (May 2013)
Over the course of the last two years, it’s inevitable that as people are considering their health and “what to do” to create Optimal health, the subject of sexual health comes up. We all want to know: Am I normal? Is there anything else I can be doing to create or enjoy a better sexual response? Are the health challenges I’m facing somehow linked to things like low libido?
PPP: Fat Burning Pathway (The BIG KAHUNA!) (April 2013)
We are going to tackle the PPP. If you’ve been a member of the community for any length of time, you’ve probably picked up that one of your “goals” for optimal health is “getting into the PPP.” The PPP is the fat-burning pathway, and I know for women especially, we all want to be in the PPP!
EMF: The Secret Barrier to Optimal (March 2013)
This webinar is rich with content, and Dr. Kruse is going to review the three main legs to the stool for creating optimal health — they’re simple, yet profound, and could very well give you the breakthrough you’ve been looking for to super-charge your quest to optimal! He’s going to outline for you the EMF Prescription and unload so much goodness in this webinar, your head will spin with delight!
Sleep Rx (February 2013)
One of the most common disease-promoting conditions we face in western culture is the inability to sleep well. Many, many people report sleep problems that include: not being able to fall asleep, excessive daytime tiredness, waking frequently to use the restroom, feeling exhausted in the morning, bad cognitive function, not thinking well or clearly or deeply, fuzzy brain, or personality changes. By the time we’re having trouble sleeping, the train has already gone off the rails–a sign that our circadian biology is really jacked. Many people have accepted poor sleep as a reality of life, or don’t realize how their poor sleep is a major contributing to things like: Schizophrenia, Type 2 Diabetes, Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne, Adrenal Fatigue, Restless Leg Syndrome, Diabetic Neuropathy, Migraine Headaches, Perimenopause, Anger issues and more. There are a few main reasons our sleep begins to deteriorate in the first place, and during this webinar, we are going to explore how artificial light; non-thermal, pulsed EMF; eating carbs in the winter; concussions; traumatic head / brain injury; and surgery or radiation to the head (including things like CT scans) all can create circadian chaos that interferes with the body’s ability to sleep. Dr Kruse is also going to offer alternative treatments for sleep apnea, the most common sleep disorder, besides the CPAP machine and oral devices.
Managing Your Energy with the Mitochondrial Rx (January 2013)
Our mitochondria is the powerhouse of every cell in our body. It’s responsible for energy and ATP production, they produce ATP, and without mitochondria, we die because no cell in the body will function. When your mitochondria isn’t operating efficiently, it affects EVERYTHING and its inefficiency is a contributing factor to things like: cancer, weight gain, infertility, gland efficiency, aging and all it’s related symptoms, ADD / ADHD, depression, fatigue, poor sleep, diabetes, heart disease, Chron’s and other GI diseases, CFS, muscle aches and pains and methylation issues. There is a lot of dialogue in the medical community (especially functional medicine) about leaky gut. But the next wave of dialogue is going to be about mitochondria. Mitochondria efficiency is key to telemore biology and ant-aging. And the great news is — you can measure it, and very intentionally optimize your mitochondrial efficiency to ferrari status.
Fat Loss in Women (December 2012)
In this webinar, we will learn about the extra sensor in the female mitochondria from evolution, making them more sensitive to circadian cycles. This entire biologic process is tied to Factor X, so learning this fat-loss quotient can help you optimize fat-loss.
Prostate Cancer (November 2012)
If you are a man or know a man, you’ll love this webinar. There are two things you likely want or need to know about prostate cancer: “How do you avoid it?” and “What do you do if you get the diagnosis?”
Women & Breast Cancer: Healing & Preventing One of the Most Aggressive 21st-Century Diseases (October 2012)
In 1900, only 3 out of 100 deaths were attributed to cancer. Breast cancer was unheard of in the first 50 years of the 20th century. Across the board, cancer was so rare that it wasn’t listed as a cause of death in the government statistics. So what’s happened since 1950 to send the incidents of cancer through the roof? In 2012, for breast cancer alone, 290,000 women were diagnosed and of those diagnosed, 45,000 will die. WHAT IS GOING ON?! Oncologists tout the meme that cancer is a genetic disease … but if it’s genetic disease, why wasn’t anyone getting cancer at the turn of the century a hundred years ago? Cancer is an epi-genetic disease that is triggered primarily by environment mismatches. If you use modern technology or eat a standard American diet, you are at risk of getting cancer.
EPCOTx Protocol (September 2012)
EPCOTx Protocol is especially-designed to help you reverse leptin resistance and heal your leaky gut, which as you all know, is the foundation for brain health. Leaky gut is basically tied to cellular oxidation and cellular aging. This protocol will help you rebuild your gut flora create the healthiest gut (which will give you the healthiest brain) possible. The EPCOTx Protocol works because it helps lowers inflammation, reduce oxidation, and stay in a reduced, pro-gestation pathway.
Deeper Dive into Circadian Biology: How Light Cycle Mismatches are Making You Diseased (August 2012)
During this month’s webinar, we’re going to talk about light. 48% of our brain neurons are wired for light (by comparison, only 10% are wired to our gut–think about that in light of the points we just outlined).
People in the paleo community say that “sleep is important,” but Dr. Kruse is going to explain why sleep according to circadian biology is ridiculously important, more important than diet even (not to minimize diet, people), and how you can begin to reverse major disease by leveraging this important distinction.
And after all this, we’ll learn what you can do to leverage circadian biology and manage the light in your life to reverse disease. This webinar is going to be crucial for those of you who are really committed to being optimal!
Epi-Paleo Rx (July 2012)
If you struggle with eating disorders, obesity or diabetes; or if you have a family history of Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s, this webinar is especially for you.
The Epi-Paleo diet is different from the traditional Paleo template – it is rich in iodine and magnesium and gives you complete, optimal brain function. Remember, HEALTH STARTS IN THE BRAIN. The way the brain goes, your health goes..
Hormone Replacement & Finding a Doctor (June 2012)
In this webinar, Dr. Kruse explores how to pick an anti-aging doctor or hormone doctor, how to know if you are symptoms are related to hormonal issues. There is a “hormone cascade” in humans is crucial for you to understand so you can take control of your own hormonal health. Dr. Kruse discusses the optimal lab values for your hormones, what high and low values mean to your health, and how you can start to bringing your lab values into optimal ranges.
