The Fourth Phase of Matter (February 2014)

Dr. Kruse has been teaching us about redox potential for the last month or so … and many of us are going ballistic with our own A-HAs and a better understanding of how all the things he’s been teaching us over the last 3 years converge to create optimal health.  I personally am seeing how I can link all these different protocols together to go gangbusters, and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing!  I’ve rearranged my schedule to CT more, exercise during the optimal window of the day (3-5 pm), I’m making RO ice for water and hydrating like a mo-fo!

Resistant Starch Throw-Down (January 2014)

Many of you might have heard of the latest Paleo Craze:  Resistant Starch.  Many on the ‘net are claiming it as the Second Coming, and it’s created quite the buzz in several circles with many claiming that it helps you lose weight, improve your gut flora and more.

So, Dr. Kruse saw that there were few human studies and lots of rodent studies, so he dedicated six months to putting these claims to the test.

In phase one of his experiment, he had labs drawn before the experiment, followed the protocol that aligns with Paleo craze for three months, had labs drawn WEEKLY during the experiment, then again at the end.  He blinded himself to results until the 3-month mark.  Here, he reviewed the labs, made changes using a *different* type of resistant starch, drew labs through the second experiment (again, blinded), and reviewed all at the end.

In 2000, one in 150 kids was born with autism.

In 2008, the number shrank to 1 in 88.

Today, we’re down to 1 in 44 kids.

These numbers are absolutely staggering.

Neurodegenerative brain disease is on the rise at an alarming pace.  Alzheimers, Parkinson’s, Lou Gerigs Disease and others have always been thought of as diseases of aging.  But neurodegenaration doesn’t start with the elderly, as we’re learning.  Neurodegeneration is responsible for diseases like hashimotos, thyroid disorders and hormone issues.

Breast Cancer Screening: What Angelina Jolie’s Doctors Didn’t Tell Her About Screening & Prevention (August 2013)

In the fall of 2012, Dr. Kruse did a special webinar on breast cancer prevention for the many women in our community who were concerned about the disease. In that webinar, he mentioned his preference for thermograms over mammograms. If you have a history of breast cancer in your family, you or someone you love has breasts, or you’ve got some “indicators” that have you concerned about monitoring your risk of breast cancer, this webinar is for you!

To date, mammograms have been the #1 recommended “preventative measure” in the breast cancer movement. Recently, the Institutes of Medicine changed their screening recommendations so that women did not start getting mammograms at 40 – instead, they recommended 50, and they changed their frequency from annual mammograms to bi-annual mammograms.

During their time together, LaCorre asked him why the use of hallucinogenic drugs didn’t seem to have a place in modern medicine, as these drugs were used in ever indigenous population around the globe for millennia. Interestingly, the populations that used these drugs don’t have trouble with drug addiction that we seem to have in the West.

Sleep Rx (February 2013)

One of the most common disease-promoting conditions we face in western culture is the inability to sleep well.  Many, many people report sleep problems that include: not being able to fall asleep, excessive daytime tiredness, waking frequently to use the restroom, feeling exhausted in the morning, bad cognitive function, not thinking well or clearly or deeply, fuzzy brain, or personality changes. By the time we’re having trouble sleeping, the train has already gone off the rails–a sign that our circadian biology is really jacked.  Many people have accepted poor sleep as a reality of life, or don’t realize how their poor sleep is a major contributing to things like: Schizophrenia, Type 2 Diabetes, Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne, Adrenal Fatigue, Restless Leg Syndrome, Diabetic Neuropathy, Migraine Headaches, Perimenopause, Anger issues and more.
