Quantum Sleep (October 2013)

Everyone knows that sleep’s important. But why does sleep happen? How does it happen? How does it work to regenerate us? In this webinar, we’re going to explore the answers to all three questions and so much more.

This webinar will give you the complete Quantum Sleep story in humans; we are leaving no stone unturned. Many of the concepts we’ll explore in this webinar have been touched on in the blogs over the last several months … this webinar is going to weave them all together. We’re going to see how sleep is heavily affected by chemicals and transition metals, as explored in the September 2013 webinar (which you may want to listen to before you dive into this one!).

Sleep Rx (February 2013)

One of the most common disease-promoting conditions we face in western culture is the inability to sleep well. Many, many people report sleep problems that include: not being able to fall asleep, excessive daytime tiredness, waking frequently to use the restroom, feeling exhausted in the morning, bad cognitive function, not thinking well or clearly or deeply, fuzzy brain, or personality changes. By the time we’re having trouble sleeping, the train has already gone off the rails–a sign that our circadian biology is really jacked. Many people have accepted poor sleep as a reality of life, or don’t realize how their poor sleep is a major contributing to things like: Schizophrenia, Type 2 Diabetes, Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne, Adrenal Fatigue, Restless Leg Syndrome, Diabetic Neuropathy, Migraine Headaches, Perimenopause, Anger issues and more. There are a few main reasons our sleep begins to deteriorate in the first place, and during this webinar, we are going to explore how artificial light; non-thermal, pulsed EMF; eating carbs in the winter; concussions; traumatic head / brain injury; and surgery or radiation to the head (including things like CT scans) all can create circadian chaos that interferes with the body’s ability to sleep. Dr Kruse is also going to offer alternative treatments for sleep apnea, the most common sleep disorder, besides the CPAP machine and oral devices.

How Light Cycle Mismatches are Making You Diseased – Brain-Gut Axis (August 2012)

During this month’s webinar, we’re going to talk about light. 48% of our brain neurons are wired for light (by comparison, only 10% are wired to our gut–think about that in light of the points we just outlined).

People in the paleo community say that “sleep is important,” but Dr. Kruse is going to explain why sleep according to circadian biology is ridiculously important, more important than diet even (not to minimize diet, people), and how you can begin to reverse major disease by leveraging this important distinction.

And after all this, we’ll learn what you can do to leverage circadian biology and manage the light in your life to reverse disease. This webinar is going to be crucial for those of you who are really committed to being optimal!
