ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURAL FAILURE 1: GUT/COLLAGEN LINK

READERS iboUMMARY:     WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE ELECTRIC COMPANY BUILT INTO YOUR COLLAGEN?   This blog is intimately linked to the January through June 2014 webinars.  April’s webinar call “The Electric Company” is based upon the ideas in this blog. So todays blog starts via a discussion on the forum about raw foods.  you might want to review what I said in Brain gut 5 on this topic.   Hi JK I am Melanie, There is a product called Mega Hydrate created by Dr. Patrick Flanagan. The product is called hydride ions which are supposed to have an additional unpaired electron, making them potent anti oxidants. I am guessing these would improve redox potential. Dr. Flanagan stated raw foods and fresh cold pressed raw juices are full of hydride ions and thus raw food and juices would improve redox potential. I wonder if this is accurate?   I respond:  Hydride? If you understand Ling and Pollack’s work on water and charge separation you will understand that Flanagan is sadly mistaken. He clearly is assuming the reader knows nothing about physics and about water chemistry. Water becomes a hydride only in an alloy with a metal. In life, […]

Internal Stressors with Dr. Tim Jackson: Zeroing in on the Root Causes of Leaky Gut, Thyroid Issues, Adrenal Fatigue & More

You’ve been treating your “adrenal fatigue” for years, but if you stop your adaptogens, DHEA or other adrenal supplements, you fall apart. You’ve been addressing your leaky gut for a year, but if you stop your probiotics, glutamine, aloe vera, etc., your stomach begins to hurt and you get diarrhea. You gave up gluten, but your thyroid antibodies remain elevated. You can’t seem to warm up despite taking thyroid medication. Your cortisol and DHEA won’t balance, despite correcting your sleep hygiene/circadian cycle. You exercise several days per week, but the more you exercise, the fatter you get. What do all of these things have in common? Internal stressors!

Energy and Epigenetics 4: Light, Water, Magnetism

Today’s blog post is about the three laws of nature for all life anywhere on our planet. These are axiomatic laws not subject to debate, research or your beliefs. All decisions that life has made revolve around these three things. Reducing things to these three things is simple, but the application in how life and evolution has done it is very complex. Today, we begin to unravel the mysteries.

Quantum Biology 10: Hormones 102

Two years ago I gave you the Hormone 101: Clinical thoughts revealed blog post. That was a small dose of reality at the beginning of this journey. There was some foundational hormone biochemistry there given to you in simple terms. Most people jumped all over the free T3 link to pregnenolone in the post. They thought that “their cure” for hypothyroidism and/or chronic pregnenolone steal syndrome was increasing free T3 or just lowering reverse T3 to raise pregnenolone. So what was not observed?

A trip down memory lane for the hormone cascade

Leptin resistance occurs first in the brain. Then insulin resistance happens soon their after in the liver, gut, and peripheral tissues. This eventually leads to adrenal resistance. This resistance occurs at the PVN in the brain. (Brain Gut 16: Adrenal Fatigue Rx) It does not happen in the adrenal gland. What happens is that the outflow from our sympathetic system in the brainstem overwhelms the parasympathetic nervous system. This increase in overall cortisol initially, is the stress hormone that allows for fight or flight syndrome (life or death). As this condition persists chronically over time, cortisol levels decrease and flatline on adrenal stress index testing.

CPC #6: Pseudotumor Cerebri

It has been close toa year that we last did a CPC blog post. (CPC #5 The Leaky Gut/Adrenal Fatigue Case) CPC stands for a clinico-pathologic conference that we often see in medical schools that our used for teaching students and doctors.

Today we are going to talk about a disease that has perplexed medicine for hundreds of years. Pseudotumor cerebri is also known as idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) today. It goes by many names in the literature. I have decided to discuss this disease because it highlights many of the cornerstone principles of how quantum electrodynamic theory affect water chemistry. This change in water chemistry can lead to biologic effects. The biologic effects of water can be seen in modern humans when we look for them and correctly observe what is really going on. So today we see how the macrocosm affects the microcosm of a modern disease.

EMF Rx: The Top Ten EMF FAQs

Soon the EMF Rx will go live in our March 2013 webinar so in advance of it, I wanted to give the EMF FAQ’s for everyone to review before you listen to the webinar. I expect there to be many questions once the webinar is released. Hopefully this will answer many of the questions you might have as the series moves forward.

These may make a lot more sense once you listen to the EMF Rx in the webinar. They will really sink in after you hear our EMF expert that we are bringing on to the site for an extensive long term look at the different aspects that EMF causes in our modern world, but here is an appetizer of what is coming.

EMF 5: What are the Biologic Effects of EMF?

Today’s blog is not long on science. Consider it my Valentine’s day present for you. It is long on observations made on humans and animals and EMF’s. Most of the observations have been done by Russians and described in their literature. One human experiment done on US foreign soil will be eye opening to you. What EMF does to cells directly is it causes a massive stress response that simulates leptin resistance, a heart attack or a panic attack.

It can affect plants too. The sensations are present while often the labs are completely normal and your doctor remains stumped as you sit in the ER. As time elapses the labs become trashed because the molecular clock no longer is able to work precisely but by that time you are closer to Michael Jackson’s fate than a reversal of health.

There are many forces at play to keep this information from you. If you were to understand its full power the economy of the world would likely collapse. This is why this info is systematically kept from you.

February Webinar: The Sleep Rx!

The February Webinar: The Sleep Rx One of the most common disease-promoting conditions we face in western culture is the inability to sleep well.  Many, many people report sleep problems that include: Not being able to fall asleep Excessive daytime tiredness Waking frequently to use the restroom Awakening in the morning, feeling exhausted Bad cognitive function – not thinking well or clearly or deeply; fuzzy brain Personality changes – “You don’t seem your normal self.” By the time we’re having trouble sleeping, the train has already gone off the rails–a sign that our circadian biology is really jacked.  Many people have accepted poor sleep as a reality of life, or don’t realize how their poor sleep is a major contributing to things like: Schizophrenia Type 2 Diabetes Psoriasis Eczema Acne Adrenal Fatigue Restless Leg Syndrome Diabetic Neuropathy Migraine Headaches Perimenopause Anger issues and more There are a few main reasons our sleep begins to deteriorate in the first place, and during this webinar, we are going to explore how artificial light; non-thermal, pulsed EMF; eating carbs in the winter; concussions; traumatic head / brain injury; and surgery or radiation to the head (including things like CT scans) all can create circadian chaos that interferes with […]

EMF 4: Why Might You Need Carbs for Performance?

Today EMF-4 is going to hit a very controversial topic. Why do the younger performers perceive they need carbs for performance? For years, I have said loudly, I don’t believe it is true. Over the last 7 years I have begun to understand why their belief exists now. When you suffer from a disrupted circadian clock you perceive you do need carbs.

It has been shown recently that artificial EMF’s make our blood brain barrier and gut more permeable to carbohydrates. The micropulsations of EMF control biocycles, including the timing of mitotic rhythm and the entire cell cycle. Any major change in their frequency would be catastrophic for cells. In fact, today most of the paleo-sphere is unaware that experiments already have been done that have shown that vibrational rates near normal and slightly above the Schumann resonance, from 30-100 Hz, cause dramatic changes in the cell cycle timing.

It turns out, the most powerful shaper of our development may turn out to be the subtlest force, that is completely invisible to us and perturbs the manner in which we handle macronutrients and recycle ATP.

THE DOPAMINE Rx = GOOD CHOICES OR BAD

We learn best when we move through our environment. Moving naturally is how humans learn best. This is why even those stricken with severe Alzheimer’s disease tend to improve cognitive performance with even mild exercise. Natural movement stimulates cortisol which increases neuron growth in our hippocampus to increase our ability to learn. Neural science tells us this and it is proven in how humans act and react to environmental stimuli to learn.

Brain Gut 16: Adrenal Fatigue Rx

What is Adrenal Fatigue at its core? Many websites will tell you it is an adrenal gland function problem that is best assayed by a salivary adrenal stress panel. I wont and I do not. The cause of adrenal fatigue is a brain injury at the hypothalamus all caused by bad signaling. My Adrenal Fatigue Rx is best called Metabolic Neurosurgery: It is all about energy and energy utilization that allows for perfect signaling of environmental signals. When your energy is bad your signaling falls off a cliff. The ASI is just like a gauge on a car. It tells you some info but it does not tell you why it is happening. How we understand adrenal dysfunction in 2012 has radically changed because of a relatively new science called neurohumoral-immunology. What does this mean?

It means adrenal fatigue at its core is a brain illness and not an adrenal gland problem.

What is the PVN? How do we know if our PVN is shut off? What are some of the symptoms? We can’t sleep, our guts do not work, our body composition goes way off, we sweat at the wrong times, we develop cognitive haze, blurred vision, migraines, and reactive hypoglycemia. Many times fatigue is only relieved by eating foods we should not. It also means we have lost allosteric control of leptin!

Brain Gut 14: Personal Ground Zero

READERS SUMMARY: HOW DO YOU FIND OPTIMAL? MEET INGER, AN AMAZING EPI-PALEO STARFISH. HOW DO YOU FINE TUNE YOUR BRAIN, THE INSTRUMENT THAT YOU SENSE THE WORLD WITH? WHAT IS THE BIOLOGIC CORRELATE BEHIND TUNING YOUR INSTRUMENT? WHERE DOES THE MAGIC OF LIFE REALLY OCCUR?     THE EMOTIONAL GEEK: From a thread on my forum, written by some pretty amazing women with deep seated issues came some clarity. I feel it was something I said that sparked this flame over the past 18 months. I wanted to share it right now in this part of the Brain Gut series. Inger has found optimal not by subjecting herself to her pain, but by understanding her pain and fine-tuning her instrument (aka her brain) by using food as her medicine and not her entertainment. How did she do it? She listened to her inner sense, and found her personal ground zero. She fine tuned her instrument eating Mackerel Head smoothies and raw beef heart salad. She shared it all in her own voice long before she knew about the Epi-paleo Rx. She intuitively knew what to do because she listened to her body. She does not know why but she also does […]

BRAIN GUT 12: DARE TO DISAGREE?

READERS SUMMARY: 1.  IS NUTRIENT DENSITY FROM A USDA CHART IMPORTANT IF IT IS OUT OF CONTEXT FOR THE SPECIES IN QUESTION? 2. PALEO SAYS PUFA’S ARE BAD.  ARE THEY REALLY; OR IS OUR UNDERSTANDING OF THEM LACKING? 3. WHY IS IODINE A CRITICAL FOR A HUMAN? 4.  IS GETTING A HASHIMOTO’S DIAGNOSIS LIKE GETTING A CANCER DIAGNOSIS? 5.  DO WE HAVE A GIANT PHARMACY IN OUR HEAD? We recently heard about nutrient density in the Brain gut 5 blog.  It seems all of a sudden it has become a hot topic in the paleosphere too now.  The one issue however that is not well understood or talked about enough in my opinion is putting this key factor in proper evolutionary and scientific context.  When someone uses the FDA and USDA massive databases to look at foods with the highest nutrient densities to make large assumptions what is best and what is not, you might be smart to begin to question if that is a wise assumption to begin with.  Let me explain.  The tables are measuring nutrient density of foods against other foods and not against the species of animals eating those foods.  What it does not do is taking into […]

BRAIN GUT 11: IS TECHNOLOGY AN ACHILLES HEEL?

READERS SUMMARY:   1. A QUESTION DURING AN EDUCATIONAL CONSULT STIMULATES A DISCUSSION 2.  HOW DOES ARTIFICIAL LIGHT DESTROY THE SIGNALING OF THE CORTISOL/DHEA/MELATONIN AXIS? 3. HOW DOES ARTIFICIAL LIGHT AFFECT  THE GUT FLORA? 4.  CAN ARTIFICIAL LIGHT AFFECT HUMAN BIOLOGY DIRECTLY? 5.  IS BODY COMPOSITION TIED TO ARTIFICAL LIGHT AND IMPAIRED SLEEP CYCLES?     Question asked to me during an educational consult: I still don’t understand the significance of the prolactin surge especially in older people like me. Since I am post menopausal, what happens if I eat carbohydrates within 4 hours of going to sleep? What does it have to do with leptin resistance? I am neither a science person, so is there any way to explain it in less technical terms?     BEFORE WE BEGIN TAKE A LOOK HERE AND TELL ME IF YOU THINK EVOLUTION HAS A PLAN FOR THIS?   I hope everyone realizes that artificial light has only been around on our planet since 1924.   Just so we are clear. Chronic artificial blue light is equivalent to chronic excessive carbohydrates because both contain excessive photoelectric energies.  This alters mitochondrial functioning after a period of time because our mitochondria evolved expecting a […]

BRAIN GUT 7: INTRO TO YOUR GUT MICROBIOME

Many of you know I believe obesity if an inflammatory disease of the brain. Where this disease begins may surprise some of you. It begins in our gut flora. How does this happen? Read this link! Sub optimal bacteria which contain bacterial toxins called lipopolysaccharides (LPS) which are found in bacterial cell membranes. As gut LPS rises, it has been shown to cause a rise in serum leptin levels. Once leptin levels are raised high enough it stimulates SOCS 3 signaling in the hypothalamus to cause LR.

Brain Gut 6: Epi-Paleo Rx

This blog followed a very popular July 2012 Webinar that I put on for my members a few days ago. The webinar was over two hours long and had a lot of Q & A done after it as well. I promised my members I would get a quick blog post up for them on some of the core materials we covered. Today’s blog is delivering on that promise.

How to consider eating the Epi-Paleo Rx: Always Respect circadian cycles and eat according to seasonality, Lots of good quality proteins (see below), Lots of good quality fats (grass-fed/pastured animal fats – lard, tallow), Liberal uses of seafood broths and bone broth made from ocean and grass-fed animals (to heal the gut), and fermented vegetables and/or probiotics (to repopulate the gut with an Optimal Human flora)

Hormone CPC #1: DHEA

This blog post was created for my members who just heard my webinar on bioidentical and synthetic hormone replacement. It is specifically designed to further our discussions in that talk.

DHEA has been an enigma to the public and to most physicians. I never once heard about this hormone in four years of medical school, seven years of residency or in any endocrinology lecture from my training. The general public did not learn about DHEA until 1996, when its benefits were mentioned in the media and several popular books that showed up on daytime TV shows. Most in mainstream medicine continued to ignore the science these books contained because they were not found in the usual ways via journals and continuing education classes. You actually had to be on the lookout for this information. With a busy medical practice, this is no easy task. DHEA became credible to the medical establishment when the New York Academy of Sciences published a book called DHEA and Aging. That book provided scientific validation for the many life-extending effects of DHEA.

Brain Gut 1: Who Are We, Really?

READERS SUMMARY: 1. WHY CAN’T FOSSILS, BIOCHEMISTRY, TEETH, GEOLOGY, PALEOANTHROPOLOGY TELL US WHERE WE CAME FROM? 2. ARE WE REALLY PILOCENE OR PALEOLITHIC BEINGS? 3. DO WE STRADDLE THE FENCE OF BOTH ERA’S OR IS ONE MORE IMPORTANT? 4. HOW MIGHT NEUROSURGERY GIVE A NEW PERSPECTIVE TO THESE MYSTERIES? 5. IS HOMO HERE BECAUSE OF VIRAL MARKETING?   If you are paleoanthropologist or archeologist you think fossils are the Rosetta Stone for discovering the path that human evolution took. If you are proteomic evolutionary biochemist you think molecular arrays are the best way to decipher the tea leaves of Mother Nature ways. If you are a geneticist you think the RNA/DNA is Holy Grail of human evolution. If you are dental specialist, like University of Arkansas professor, Dr. Peter Ungar you think it’s all about the mammalian teeth. Today’s blogosphere likes to define evolutionary thinking by thinking about the Paleolithic epoch and how it might have shaped the hominid tree. The paleolithic shaped the tree to be sure, but had nothing to do with planting the acorn. The paleolithic diet has been championed best, in my view, by Dr. Loren Cordain’s sustained efforts over the last 30 years. His work […]

CPC #5 THE LEAKY GUT/ADRENAL FATIGUE CASE

READERS SUMMARY: HOW CAN A LEAKY GUT CAUSE ADRENAL FATIGUE? CAN OTHER THINGS COMPLICATE THIS LIKE A VIRAL INFECTION? CAN WE TREAT IT? HOW DO WE TREAT IT? CAN YOU HOPE FOR IMPROVEMENT TOO? A PATIENT TESTIMONIAL AFTER JUST 4 MONTHS OF TREATMENT We have talked at length on my forum about how a leaky gut can cause havoc for modern humans. What many people do not realize is that humans having a leaky gut happened by design. Primates, our nearest relatives, do not have leaky guts by design because they do not have zonulin the protein that binds our gut cell membranes where they join. Many people are shocked to find out that this make it impossible for a Primate to get an autoimmune disease. This is also true. Primates also can’t get an infection of H. Pylori in their guts either. This is why Barry Marshall had to drink a vat of H. Pylori to prove it caused human ulcer disease in the last part of the 20th century. He had no animal models that would prove his hypothesis. Check out this detailed history of precisely what the establishment did to Dr. Marshall and his ideas for close […]

CPC #3: Do You Need a Gallbladder?

You must become aware of the high cost of low living by cheap thinking. In biology, we often get what we deserve when we forget this. Today’s CPC will illustrate that point for you. Wasting your time doing things that do not get you to Optimal is losing opportunity to improve yourself. Today…….and every day from here become very aware of time. Be wise in the use of time. The question for living an Optimal life is never how much time do I really have…it is in how you use the time you have. And when you realize that…….you can begin to reverse the errors you made in that time.

There is a great lesson here for those willing to think. I hope the sharpness of this message strikes you in the correct fashion. When you think average you get average. Reject mediocre…demand optimal from me, your loved ones, and most importantly yourself. When you get this lesson………you will understand why there is much harm in wasting your most valuable asset. TIME The more sand that has escaped from the hourglass of your life, the clearer we should see through it.

If you continue to think the way you do your life’s hour glass will remain opaque. Think, adapt, learn, become what you can only envision now through the actions those thoughts bring to you.
